criminally vulgar
i took sid vicious to see the vet at ACC yesterday. sid vicious is the cream-coloured guy. i named him sid vicious because he was really mean and hissy when we first took him in. anyway, he's not hissy at all anymore. all of the kittens are really sweet- total lap cats.

but sid was not doing well- kinda shaky, losing weight, and had diarrhea. so i took him in, brought a stool sample, they hydrated him intravenously, then they gave me some antibiotics and sent us home.

i woke up this morning to find that one of the kittens had passed. but it wasn't even sid vicious. or stella, who also had diarrhea. it was jeffrey, the healthiest one.

have you ever held a dead kitten? IT'S THE WORST.

i know it's not my fault- the woman who runs the program says that this just happens. i mean, who KNOWS what was going on with any of them before the were surrendered to ACC. but that doesn't make me feel any better- he still died in my care.

jess and jeffrey. :( poor guy.

sid vicious- not so vicious anymore.

teaching stella and jeffrey to drink milk. jeffrey should have taken notes. goddamnit. :(

sleep well, little guy...

I had the same thing happen with my first dog from the humane society foster care program. He was a great dane puppy that weighed less than 5 lbs when they found him. He was so malnurished and neglected when he was rescued and he died with us after a few weeks of getting healthy and gaining weight. I was totally crushed, but realized he must have had the most incredible time when he was with us eating all the food he wanted and sleeping on my pillow at night.
I feel you, I still have mad love for Mr. Bojangles.
